Personal data

Privacy policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026.

Data controller: Société Nouvelle Africaine de Distribution (SNAD), Boulevard Fass III, Gueule Tapée, Dakar, Senegal · contact@snaddirect.com · +221 77 191 60 93.

SNAD operates SNADdirect so customers can browse the catalogue, create and track orders, manage their account and delivery addresses, credits, favourites, availability alerts and customer-service conversations.

Data processed

Depending on the features used, SNADdirect may process your name, company, phone number, email address, delivery addresses, order, payment and credit information, favourites, stock alerts, customer-service messages, session identifiers, mobile installation identifier, push token and notification preferences.

Purposes

This data is used to provide SNADdirect, authenticate users, process and track orders, make repeat purchases easier, manage deliveries, payments and credits, provide support, send requested notifications, prevent abuse and preserve evidence of transactions.

Favourites and availability alerts

Favourites are linked to the customer account. A stock alert stores the relevant product reference until the alert is sent or disabled and is intended to notify the user when the product can be ordered again.

Mobile notifications

After the first sign-in, iOS or Android may ask for permission to send notifications. They may concern orders, payments, credits, deliveries, customer-service replies, promotions, new items, useful reminders and requested stock alerts. Preferences can be changed in the app or phone settings.

The mobile cart remains stored locally on the device. If notifications are allowed, a local reminder may be scheduled about 24 hours after items are added and is cancelled when the cart is emptied.

Required information

Information marked as required is necessary to create or use the account, authenticate or fulfil an order. Optional data may be left blank when the relevant feature does not depend on it.

Audience measurement

SNADdirect uses Google Analytics on the website to measure usage and improve the experience. No additional analytics SDK should be added without updating this policy and the corresponding store disclosures.

Recipients and processors

Data is not sold. It is accessible to authorised SNAD teams and may be processed by providers strictly necessary for hosting, communications, audience measurement, notifications and, when enabled, payments.

Transfers outside Senegal

Some technical providers may process or host data outside Senegal. SNAD oversees these processing activities and completes any formalities required by applicable regulation.

Retention

Account data is kept while the account remains active or for as long as needed to provide the service. Favourites and alerts can be removed or disabled. Orders, invoices, payments, receivables and other commercial or accounting records may be retained for the periods required for evidence and legal, tax or accounting obligations.

Security

SNADdirect uses measures including HTTPS, revocable sessions, secure local storage of the mobile authentication token, request limits and access controls. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Biometrics remain managed locally by iOS or Android; SNADdirect receives neither fingerprints nor Face ID templates.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, updating or, where legal conditions are met, deletion of your data, and may object to certain processing on legitimate grounds. Requests can be sent to contact@snaddirect.com. Identity verification may be required to protect the account.

A signed-in user can start deleting portal access from My account. A request can also be submitted without signing in from the Account deletion page. Deleting access does not remove records that must still be retained.

Legal framework and complaints

Processing is organised under applicable Senegalese regulation, including Law No. 2008-12 of January 25, 2008 on personal data protection. A data subject may also contact Senegal’s Commission de Protection des Données Personnelles (CDP).
